Nissan Pathfinder Launch Mailer. The advertising theme for the ’05 Pathfinder was, “More space. Bigger engine. Better stories.” To bring this idea to life, the launch kit contained, in addition to a letter and a brochure-request BRC, a booklet telling the ’05 Pathfinder story and providing tongue-in-cheek tips for customers on how to tell better stories based on their Pathfinder adventures. There was also a Pathfinder Storytelling Game consisting of a deck of cards, each one featuring something one might see on such a journey, plus eight product feature cards. The object was to tell a spellbinding story using both the adventure cards and the product cards. On the final page of the booklet was a sample story based on five cards chosen “at random.”☚
